A new trendy cool color is announced, and the fashion crowd will follow. On the last day of New York Fashion Week, it wasn’t the sunny shades of “millennial pink” or even the relatively new “Generation Z yellow” that the street fashion crowd was indulging in. Instead, green prevailed in all its widespread glory.
From neon and super-chic slime to light and pretty pastels, visitors stocked up on all shades of the popular hue on Wednesday. There were sculptural green jackets and coats, as well as lively green shirts and dresses; the color was paired with tailored pants or logo-printed leggings, and even with socks. Although Fashion Week has officially come to an end in New York City, we have a strong feeling we’ll be seeing more green in the shows in London, Milan and Paris.
