Old friend Courteney Cox jokingly asked her followers, “Did I kill the right one?

Courteney Cox may be 59 years old, but this week she channeled her 18-year-old daughter to create an outfit worthy of someone born after the turn of the millennium.

The Friends star posted a video on Instagram Wednesday in which she jokingly transformed herself into a “Generation Z girl” with a short top, braids and more. In the clip, Cox declares as she scrolls through photos of Generation Z girls on social media, “Look at these Generation Z girls, so cute. I want to do that!” The actress then gives herself a makeover montage based on Sam Smith’s song “Unholy,” offering close-ups of herself applying plenty of eyeliner, touch-ups, highlighter and lipstick. She followed a makeup routine, braiding her hair into two bubble braids with tendrils and securing them at different points on her tail to create a spherical, tousled effect. After consulting her Generation X closet, Cox finally found a TikTok-appropriate ensemble that included faux-vintage jeans, a tie-dye zip-up sweatshirt and a crocheted halter top, and pulled out her phone for a selfie. However, as she flashed the peace sign and stuck her tongue out, her photo was rudely interrupted by someone’s voice in the hallway, prompting her to quickly step away from the mirror as she yelled, “Oh fuck, he’s home,” seemingly pointing to her boyfriend, Johnny McDaid. Cox captioned the post, “Am I right?”

This isn’t the first time the actor has made a viral video making fun of himself. Last September, Cox turned her heartbreak into satisfaction after finding out Kanye West wasn’t a fan of the show that launched her career. That month, the infamous rapper revealed that he wasn’t actually the wordsmith behind some of his fans’ favorite Twitter one-liners, including when he declared that “friends aren’t funny. In response to the comment, Courtney Cox, who plays Monica Geller on the hit show, responded with a comedic video of her scrolling through Instagram on her phone while listening to the rapper’s song “Heartless” and stumbling upon West’s original post, focusing on “The word ‘friend’ is not funny.” She then shook her head sadly before abruptly turning off the music and adding in the caption, “I bet old Kane
