As an extension of the “Barbiecore” aesthetic, this new trend puts pink in the spotlight, but this time, instead of a fiery red hue, it’s a soft, rosy pink with a slightly romantic undertone.

The new beauty aesthetic has created a buzz on TikTok with no less than 7.7 billion views for the hashtag #coquette, over 1.6 billion views for #coquetteaesthetic, over 300 million views for #coquettecore, and over 120 million views for #coquettemakeup. A wave of genuine enthusiasm was shown for this aesthetic inspired by beautiful, romantic style elements.
The trend also celebrates an ultra-feminine style – 100% owned by users – celebrated with bows, pearls, lace, butterfly patterns, flowers and other details. Everything has a hint of vintage nostalgia: antique mirrors and ribbon-like hair ties in the hair. A sort of mix between Daphne Bridgerton and Blair Waldorf.
Based on blush and eyeliner
Once again, blush is a key element of this trend. After following a classic beauty routine for your complexion, simply apply a pink blush (stick or powder) on your cheekbones and finish the entire look with pearlescent powder. A luminous touch applied to the eyelids is embellished with a black eyeliner pencil to create doe like eyes. For the mouth, the matte lipstick was replaced with a pink or clear gloss, which added the signature beauty and romanticism that characterizes the “sultry makeup”.
