Wednesday Season 2: We need more dance scenes for the sequel

by

Wednesday has officially “won” us December 2022 (sorry, Santa), thanks to the character’s gothic appearance, scene-stealing choreography and expressionless humor. Is it any surprise, then, that fans of the popular Netflix show want more?

Following Christina Ricci’s groundbreaking portrayal of the Adams family’s eldest son in the 1990s film series, actress Jenna Ortega elevates the dark-haired, dreadlocked character to new heights for modern audiences on Netflix, from serving Givenchy- and Rick Owens-inspired of monochromatic glamour, and Agatha Christie-style detective skills to help teens find who is killing Jericho’s residents.

After the plot twist in the season one finale, fans have been speculating about who the text came from and whether there will be a second season of the show.

In an interview with Screen Rant, series co-creator Alfred Gough discussed the possibility of expanding the Wednesday universe.’ Miles (Miller, his creative partner) and I were talking about it. In Adams’ world, you can definitely explore more,’ he said.
Peter Friedlander, head of scripted series for Netflix in the U.S. and Canada, told Variety, “It’s encouraging and exciting to see such a high level of engagement.” “The number of people who not only want to come to Netflix, but want to watch these shows and then talk about them.”

Commenting on the success of Ortega’s dance with Lady Gaga’s Bloody Mary, he added, “The engagement.” That’s where we’re putting all our efforts.
